Our Story
Scott and I met in July 2006, while we were both assisting around the Young People’s Forum with Landmark Education. We became friends during the weekend of the Forum. About a week after the Forum ended, I ran into a mutual friend that had also been assisting around the weekend with us and she handed me Scott’s business card and told me that I absolutely, no kidding, had to call Scott. That he really needed to talk to me. So I called the next day and Scott asked me out on a date. We has a great time together. He came down to my apartment and we walked downtown to a local brew pub and had some really great dinner and just talked for hours.
We started dating and a very short time later, I was invited on a cruise thru my company and needed someone to go with me. So without sounding too desperate I asked Scott to go with me. And he said he would go! We went on a Western Caribbean Cruise and had a blast together! It was a wonderful vacation.
After that vacation, we started seriously dating. We started traveling together and just having fun.
One night after about a year and a half of dating, Scott surprised me by asking me to marry him. He gave me a ring that was way to perfect for words. He likes to say it was a temporary place holder ring, but I like to think it was the perfect ring that he could have ever given me. And we started to plan for our wedding.
